October & November Gig Guide: Supporting Australia’s Alternative Music Scene

Australia’s alternative music scene never sits still, and there are plenty of reasons to get out and support live music over the coming weeks.

The Alt Crowd PR is putting the spotlight on a selection of gigs and events happening across Australia throughout late October and November, bringing together showcases, Halloween parties, live performances and release shows from across the alternative music community.

Our first gig guide features events including the Rock Lock Records Showcase on October 28, Grave Yard Club @ Greaser Garage Party and Catastrophe Halloween on October 31, Back from the Grave on November 1, and upcoming November shows featuring REFLEKTA and Vault Hill.

Some of these events were submitted directly to The Alt Crowd PR by bands and artists, while others were sourced through our own research and the Australian alternative music community. We want to make it easier for music fans to discover shows, find new bands and support the artists putting in the work to keep the scene alive.

This is also an opportunity to shine a light on bands who might not always have the biggest promotional budgets or the widest reach. Whether you're heading along to see a band you've loved for years or discovering someone completely new, showing up, buying a ticket and sharing their music can make a real difference.

The Alt Crowd PR was built around a love of alternative music and a desire to help artists get their music heard.

This gig guide is one small way we can contribute to a scene that thrives on community, collaboration and people showing up for one another.

Got a gig coming up?

We're keen to hear from Australian alternative, rock, punk, grunge and heavy bands with upcoming shows. If you'd like your event to be considered for a future gig guide, send The Alt Crowd PR your event flyer and details.

Not every event will necessarily make every edition, but we're always looking for more great Australian gigs to help put on people's radar.

Find a show, support a local band and keep Australia's alternative music scene loud.
